Hoddlesden Millennium Green

The Grand Annual Picnic 2010 celebrated the 10th anniversary of the green. The sun shone and the atmosphere was electric.

Around 250 people attended the picnic. Seeing families & friends enjoy the sunshine, the music & the storyteller was a fantastic sight.

The event was funded by the Darwen & Rural Neighbourhood Board.The committee would like to wish sincere thanks to the board for their support in local projects. Without the support, it would be difficult to run these events.

The Transpennine Jazz Band created a real sense of relaxation & fun on the main green, whilst Taffy Thomas MBE was a real inspiration to all budding storytellers down in the willow arbour.
